The world opens on a small island a mere two miles across. In the middle of said island is a large crater in which sets a stone square roughly fifteen feet tall and thirty feet across. At the Crest of the crater stands two armies. In the distance a horn blows and the two armies charge, as they meet we zoom in on four adventurers an elf druid by the name of Artemis windscythe (queue borderlands intro "the brains" ) a human...Ish sorcerer named yhasicuk ( " the weird one") a tiefling bard named lilith (" the charm") and a lumbering eight foot tall goliath barbarian wielding a maul. This is the hero of our story the mighty, the immeasurable, the magnificent Grathos strength seeker (" the muscle") . Before our heroes stand a small group of poorly armed soldiers, and through a combination of head shots, torso pulverizing cudgle strikes and really nasty burns our team plows through the enemies. As the battle wraps up the adventurers look to the stone square where the generals are, each man or woman standing atop the square is the avatar of a god capable of summoning a spectral form of their deity to do combat. Each has done so and a vicious battle is taking the stage in the center of the field. However as the gods lock in combat four mighty blasts erupt on the stone as if struck by magic artillery. The avatars on the table are slain in an instant and their power vanishes with their spirits. Upon the impact of the magical explosions the armies ar flattened and the adventurers knocked prone. Slowly those left alive on the field rise to their feet. It is at this point that Grathos and his friends approach the square, each ascends onto the stone either by stairs or as Grathos did ( rolling a nat twenty to jump fifteen feet up on to the top simply to show his dominance over gravity). Upon the face of the square the team can see the death shadows ,similar to those seen at the site of a nuclear detonation , of their fallen leaders. Grathos being more muscle than brain decided the smartest thing to do was poke his. Power flooded the man imbuing him with the power of the god of combat prowess and strength. Likewise all of the others claimed the strength of their fallen leaders. On this day gods fell, but in their place rose a power to surpass even the metal gear.
