I run this game titled "The Conglomerate" for pay. The players are fantastic roleplayers with varying level of experiences. This game is truly my baby and is everything that I love about fantasy settings drawing from Studio Ghibli, Windwaker, etc. I'm excited to share it with all of you.

Arc 1 Part 1. Lets do it

The Drown -- The Origin of a World Without Adventurers

In the enchanting realm of Alurra, nestled within the continent of Prosperia thrived under the wise and benevolent rule of Queen Contra. The continent itself embodied the essence of its name, with abundant riches and flourishing landscapes. Alurra, a realm teeming with intrepid souls, was a haven for daring adventurers. Tales of conquest and perilous quests echoed through its mystical forests and towering mountains. Yet, among the countless legends spun in Alurra, none rivaled the extraordinary saga known as the Tale of the Compass.

This extraordinary tale began just like any other, with four valiant heroes embarking on a quest. However, this quest was unlike any they had faced before, for the heroes were tasked with locating and vanquishing the malevolent mystic Shaman, Corellia of the Tempest Seas. Empowered by dark creatures lurking in the depths, Corellia sought to engulf Prosperia and its neighboring realms in an eternal deluge. Armed with legendary artifacts, the four heroes set forth on their noble quest. Magna, the Wizard of the Northern Gale, wielded the power of frigid winds. Vicrum, the Warrior of the Southern Sands, possessed unmatched strength from the southern wastelands. Lorelei, the Spymistress of the Western Veil, danced through shadows with stealth and cunning. Lastly, Xavier, the Cleric of the Eastern Shores, drew strength from the sacred shores that kissed the land.

The heroes fought with unwavering resolve, battling Corellia through treacherous landscapes and tempestuous trials. As their journey unfolded, they eventually found themselves on the shores of the Stormveil Sea, where Corellia’s power reached its zenith. A tumultuous clash ensued as the heroes confronted the mystical shaman. For three arduous days and nights, they unleashed their arsenal of might and magic, desperately striving to thwart Corellia’s cataclysmic plans. Yet, in the face of overwhelming odds, the heroes faltered, succumbing one by one to Corellia’s malevolent sorcery. As Corellia’s powers unleashed havoc upon the world, continents trembled and mighty waters surged, claiming vast territories. All seemed lost, and despair hung heavy in the air. However, in a final act of selfless sacrifice, Xavier, the Cleric of the Eastern Coasts, relinquished his mortal existence to seal Corellia’s fate.

Half a millennium passed since the fall of Corellia, and Prosperia, along with its sister continents, bore the scars of the cataclysm. The once magnificent realms had succumbed to the watery depths, fragmented into a scattering of resolute islands, continents known now as Aeramore (The Northern Gale), Zephyrath, The Western Veil, and The Calmwater Archipelagos... Though the era of grand adventures had waned, the world continued to turn, and hope flickered in the hearts of Alurra’s inhabitants.

The Beginning -- The Festival Of The Compass

Our story begins at the end of summer. The cusp of a soon to be transformation when the lines between life and death become closer...

It's a special time here in the Calmwater Archipelagos. The Festival of the Compass, a celebration of the heroes of old, is set to begin in three short days on the island of Mako, the capital of The Archipelagos. It. is here that several lines of fate are beginning to intertwine... a group of new heroes about to go on a grand adventure

Enter Our Party: All starting at level 3

Clover Rensui (Cleric/Bard)

A kitsune from The Western Veil. Used to be a battlefield medic but left suddenly after the death of her fiance. Returned to Mako because it used to be her home. She's staying with Elaine Burline, an old friend.

Dorian Greycastle (Inquisitor Rogue)

A private eye on the island of Mako and mentor to Elaine's adopted son Barry. Rough and tumble. Four years ago (at the last festival) he discovered the plot of an underground cult who were obsessed with Magna of the Northern Gale. In discovering it he was confronted by "A Man in White" who not only severely injured him but killed his wife, escaping in the process.

Evolvere (Homebrew Summoner Class)

A warforged who hailed from the continent of Aeramore. Once a highly respected artificer at the prestigious Academy, Evolvere was demoted and sent to Mako to teach at the island's "Weave Comprehension School." His TA Akamai, a bridgewalker from the island of Caspian, is a burgeoning young wizard who's dream is to get to the Academy and become a "Prefect."

Kaido Caspian (Hunter Ranger)

"Just a guy." From the island of Caspian and is coming to Mako for groceries. Not anything much. Just someone who is really lucky

Barty The Cat (Way of the Living Weapon Monk)

A recently awakened cat. Fleeing from home with "crickly crackly orb" in hand, he hopped on the closest ship that he could find. The Corsair. Now working as part of the crew he is trying to find the edge of the world.

Nikita (Path of the Beast Barbarian)

A kobold cursed with a strange and sometimes insataible hunger from the deserts of Zephyrath. Picked up by a group of monster hunters, Nikita was surprised to find one day that they had deserted her. Nikita hopped on The Corsair, bound for Mako, with hopes of one day finding them.

Matsu Take (Homebrew Cook Class)

In hopes of seeing the flora and fauna of Alurra, Matsu hopped on The Corsair leaving his small island myconid colony behind. Now a cook on The Corsair, Matsu is ready to see the world.

The Adventure Begins

Reaching the Island of Mako our crew from The Corsair are brought to the house of Elaine Burline. Elaine tells them that they will be staying with her, a favor for the crew from her late husband Milo Burline. There Nikita, Matsu, Barty, Dorian, and Clover meet and decide to go with Elaine to "The Circle" to run some errands.

At the same time Evolvere and Akamai decide to let out class early so that the children can enjoy the festival. They decide to go to The Circle to spend the rest of their day. There they find Kaido who recognizes Akamai who hasn't been back to the island for the past five years. Kaido is happy to see her and tells her about a strange occurance happening on the island. "There still is no matriarchal markings on any of the recently born children... and with Leilani being so old people are starting to get worried."

Boom

A box explodes injuring several people, including Elaine and Akamai. The heroes jump into action, Barry and Dorian chasing after a strange man who flees the scene followed by two strangely magical individuals and a group of peacekeepers. As the peacekeepers rush in, Clover and Matsu help the injured civilians. In the wake of chaos the party, who was nearby the explosion, are taken in for questioning

The Alleyway

Dorian and Barry, being faster than these strange individuals catch up to the man who draws a knife. Dorian using his abilities quickly takes him out, the man shouting "Long Live Magna of the Northern Gale."

Just as they are killed the two magical individuals, who reveal themselves to be Prefect Dorian and Izruli or Aeramore, and the peacekeepers round the corner finding Dorian with a bloody knife in his hands.

Dorian and Barry are arrested.
