(Pathfinder) Rise of and fall of Alkenstar
Post Body

So some years ago, I got invited to join a Pathfinder game, the Dm was inviting people from all over for a massive Roll20 game, I joined, he put out a notice on the Discord he was seeking a few nations, I volunteered to take Alkenstar since I love my Steampunk things.

So he asked me to do two tasks, one: create a weapon that the armies of my nation would use, so I designed a revolver rifle and revolver turret, he liked and approved of those.

He next asked me to DM a session for people, but, with this being his world he stated was completely custom, I asked too many questions(I wanted to know who my players were, the environment I was DMing in, what control I'd have over the session) he just said to forget it and made me the king of Alkenstar.

So I asked if I could invite a friend into the campaign to be my general, he agreed, I started showing him Big Bertha's, Imperial steam tanks from Warhammer, Steampunk AT-AT's, he approved all of it saying I had an awesome army I was building.

DM then selected 6/13 nations

us 6 received terrible visions of a new eldritch monstrosity coming to destroy/enslave the planet in 10 years(the world had known peace for a thousand), I decided 10 years isn't enough, so... I began militarizing, industrializing, destroying my landscape, I planned on conquering the two states to my north and south, the words I lived by in this game: "One unity, one purpose, one goal" I was the only one with the strength to oppose such a being, once I united the world under my banner by force of arms.

I made a map for me and my friend/General, we had out characters walking around, drawing out war plans, the DM saw us, and asked what we're doing, I told him: "planning for conquest" he got all mad and said this isn't a wargame it's a TTRPG, and kicked both me and my friend out of the campaign...

But it was fun while it lasted.
