My party is currently investigating a local church, and members of this church are definitely trying to create phyrexians (basically think metal-zombies that can be sleeper agents). Along with this the main leadership of the church are also definitely apart of this, but on a wide scale.

While that is definitely happening, I don't want the party to know for sure wether the main leadership is apart of this activity. This way, it becomes a difficult question of coping/taking out the main leadership (which important context the church is an incredibly powerful institution and this will create massive political waves). What is some evidence that makes the main church leadership seem suspicious, but isn't anything concrete.
