I am a DM who loves giving out magic items, but I don't want to oversaturate my players with too many and either have them forget about them or have choice paralysis as to what to use or attune too.
I understand Artificers can sort of bypass the DM and break this system, but I mean that is part of the fun of being an Artificer, so we'll just ignore the variable that is Artificers for this question.
At certain levels what is a good amount of magic items to have for say a party of 4?
We'll break down the levels into tiers...
Tier 1 = 1-4
Tier 2 = 5-11
Tier 3 = 11-16
Tier 4 = 17-20
