Can you cast Suggestion on Strahd?

This came up in the end game of CoS tonight. Amazing section with incredible players and a great DM

We had burned up all of Strahd's legendaries, we had him surrounded but my character couldn't reach him. So I cast Suggestion and told him to lie down.

Amazingly he didn't make his save and even more so is that the DM couldn't find anywhere written in his stats that Strahd is immune to being charmed. Eventually it was ruined by me forgetting that Strahd was standing in Moonbeam and so took damage BUT the question still stands... Can Strahd be Suggested?
