Backstory: My players want to play a multi mega-adventure, where they play the adventures released for 5e D&D in the order they would take place in the FR timeline. This idea was cooked together with the idea that each adventure, be it successful or a complete TPK, affects the overall world in minor or major effects. SPOILERS for Tyranny of Dragons adventure: Let's say the PCs failed to prevent Tiamat from returning to the realms, the next adventure would feature an increase in chromatic dragon attacks and other dangers by Tiamat's worshipers. Obviously, these are non-prophit stories with all rights reserved and yada yada yada, just looking for helpful advice.
