+1 AC VS +1hp per level

Hi everyone! I'm a new player and I'm using a point buy to make my character and I'm stuck between two choices.

I can make my DEX or my CON 14 and then the other 12.

I'm joining a game in progress so I'm creating a 5th level Sorcerer. With Draconic Resilience, the character's AC should be 14 with a 12 DEX. It's not a traditional game from what I'm told, we have an unconventional party.

In your experience is AC or hp more valuable? Sorry in advance if I messed something up and thanks for your help!
