Greetings all!
I am a DM for my groups weekly sessions and like to look into what my characters are capable of. UA content is allowed as long as it is discussed with me first. One player is playing the Spell-less Ranger (and she loves it). I helped here with a lot of the creation process, and I found out that they get Combat Maneuvers similar to the Battle Master. Having never played one myself, oh my lord, that is such a cool sub-class.
So, I got to thinking to myself "How do we crank this maneuver thing to 11?" And then I came up with an idea.
Provided stats all work out, you go 6 levels of Battle Master, then 2 levels of Spell-less Ranger, then continue with fighter. Couple that with Superior Maneuvers and Martial Adept, that gives you 8 maneuvers, 8d8 2d6 dice pool to fuel, and all the goodies you get from fighter, at level 8. (could be extra cheesy if you take both versions of superior technique since they are TECHNICALLY different fighting styles for an extra d6)
I haven't fleshed it out in a character sheet yet, but what do you guys think of this being a character or NPC? I think he'd be a switch hitter, carrying a longbow and two finesse weapons, medium armor.
A few questions in case someone wants to help:What race should this monster be? Something with a good movement speed? Natural armor? What maneuvers are we taking?ABI or Feat at level 6?Since grabbing the other superior technique is cheesy (and probably not actually allowed in any wording of the rules) what other fighting style do we grab? two weapon fighting to get the most out of our finesse weapons?
EDIT: Added a comma so that way it doesnt look like im saying you get the fighter level 8 stuff
