Hey there, this is my first post and I apologize if this has been asked before. We’re almost done our current campaign and we’re making new characters for a different campaign in February.

My question is, How complicated would it be for my DM and I to know that I am a changeling while the other players do not? Maybe they see me as a halfling or a dwarf or something. I just think it would be awesome flair for me to change into someone useful at an absolute time of need to surprise everyone.

I’ve thought about the complications and I just wanted to see what the input here would be, or if anyone has done this kind of thing before I commit to this race.
