I'm trying to make the purest DMT possible and am curious if these 3 steps (de-fat, Water Wash, and Re-X) would each pull out different impurities, or if you're going to re-x at the end, if a pre-base De-Fat and pre-Freeze-precip water wash are redundant. I expect only Clob and a few others can answer this with any certainty.

If no-one can answer this, I'll invest in some testing to isolate these variables and compare results, but I'm already investing in a lot of testing of variables and its getting expensive.

Also, with Re-X, I'd love opinions on the best solvent to use. I'm thinking heptane, but want suggestions.
