Im considering buying the Mini 2 at the moment. I was hesitating between the Mavic Mini and the Mini 2, but as I do have the extra money right now, I could just as easily go for the Mini 2. Although I don't need the 4k, the extra range is cool (although not essential). It's just that when I read reviews and stuff, I get the feeling that the Mini 2 is the best drone under 249g (so under the legal limit of 250g which applies to my country), so given the fact that I have the money available, why not go for the best one?
The only thing is: I have never ever even touched a drone. Let alone flown one. The main reason I would go for the Mavic Mini instead of the Mini 2, is that it's 200 euros cheaper, and because of that I won't be as disappointed when I crash of lose it as I would be with the Mini 2.
What are your thoughts? How likely am I as a total beginner to crash a Mini 2 to the point that it doesn't work anymore? And if this happens, does DJI have a warranty that covers this?
Thanks in advance for your help!!! :)
Edit: thanks to your helpful responses I figured that I don't really need some of the Mini 2 selling points, such as 4k video and the improved range. The Mavic Mini is just 50 euros cheaper than the SE, so I'm thinking of going for the SE at the moment. Maybe I can upgrade to the Mini 3 in the future!
Or do you guys feel that the extra hundreds are worth it for things as the improved connection stability, better wind resistance and such? Those are things that would be my focus points, but are they so much better at the Mini 2 than at the Mavic Mini (and SE)?
