Signal interference

I've notice something weird about my mini. Yesterday I flew around 1.4 km away from me.
Had perfect vision, no complains about poor signal, nothing all fine. Then while I was flying backwords with a drone towards me, I got signal interference message and a little glitch in video transmission.
Bit weird as I thought that minis antennas are at the front mounted inside the legs. So technically should have better signal with the drone facing towards me rather then away?
Anyone noticed that too?
