Leaving GIB unpainted

So tried to remove two 3M command strips where I couldnt reach the tab and ended up taking off a patch of paint too (internal wall).
The paper of the GIB is still in tact though, so i was wondering if I really need to repaint it (am going to stick something else over it so it wont be visible)?
