Just seeing if the advice I got from a mate is right and preparing for the next flood… I know I’ve been putting this off for a year.
This is the path that overflowed and into the garage last year. The scoria is only about maybe an inch deep and below that it’s pretty much hard packed dirt/mud.
Should I dig out the scoria and the dirt then refill it? There’s a board at the end of the walk way that would keep the water in anyways even if I did? The drain is past it.
If I should, how deep should I go? Down to the weed mat?
Thats metal garage walls with no insulation or anything on the inside, and yeah the firewoods there just temporarily while we use up the rest of the firewood in the next couple of weeks.
The path lowers towares the end and will drain usual water just when floods happened itwas too much.
Thank you very much.
It's a relatively frequently used path. If I removed the pavers what would the alternative be?
