How hard is it to replace the building paper under the roof?

Post Body

The building paper under the roof of the garage has deteriorated pretty badly and it's starting to rip at the edges. I've been advised that we should be able to pull the nails (just me and my dad), pull the roof panels, replace the building paper and staple it down replace the roofing panels using new screws with seals.

The roof on the house has been leaking very slightly as well so we were wondering if the roofing paper on the house is failing as well. We know some of the nails are lifting on the house roof but I'm also afraid of ruining the roofing sheets by trying to pull the nails and replace then with screws.

Is this possible with just 2 men? Also how hard is it to remove the nails without ruining the roofing panels?
