First post. Forgive me if I step on the norms of the group.
My goal is to be able to drive my car into the garage and trigger the 120v exhaust fan for a specific amount of time. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around a solution. While it could be triggered by a variety of things, garage door opener light circuit, a pneumaticly triggered pressure switch, etc... I need something a bit more sophisticated.
Desired outcome, using temporary low or high voltage power, trigger a timer that will run for 15 min each time power is applied. Can’t run it off the garage door opener light timer as it is too short. While I find may of the pieces out there when I hunt, I don’t find a DIY solution that is obvious.
If there is something already discussed here, would love to be pointed to it. If someone has other creative ideas, very much appreciated. Not afraid to make something or get out the soldering iron but not a double E either.
Thank you
James
