Noob lookin for tips

Like it says, I’m a noob in fpv but I really love it and I want to get into it. I have a Tinyhawk RTF kit and am looking to get the Radiomaster TX16S at some point in the future, for goggles I’m looking at the Eachine EV800D but other than that I’m kinda overwhelmed. I want to build a bigger drone, either 3 inch or 5 inch, and I don’t really care about photography or competitive racing, I just want to cruise and do some free styling just for fun. I’m having trouble deciding whether to get a kit like the tyro79 or tyro99 etc or build from scratch, I’d prefer to build from scratch but I just can’t seem to make the right parts list, I’ve looked at rotor builds and other websites but I haven’t found any that I really loved. Any advice for someone in my shoes? Dos don’ts? Tips tricks? Anything would help and is greatly appreciated!:)
