Modifying a Klipsch "The One II"
Post Body

Hey all, first time poking into the subreddit. This may be off topic, but I figure here is a good place to start.

I'm using Airplay 2 for multi-room audio, and have a Klipsch "The One II" that is giving me trouble. A lot of speakers, including the One II, go to sleep when there is no audio stream for ~15 min. Once it goes to sleep it has to be manually turned back on before it will start playing again, which defeats to purpose of airplay (at least for me). Since this is common for a lot of bluetooth/tabletop speakers, figured maybe someone here has a workaround/hack for this (even if hardware modification) to get around the sleep timeout.

If no workaround, I'm hoping that someone can help me figure out if there is any kind of drop-in replacement for the circuit board that I can hook up to an Airplay II receiver (Raspberry Pi running Shairport-Sync). I'm not worried about retaining control using the One II's volume controls or bluetooth functionality, but would like to use the 20VDC power input on the back of the speaker if possible.

User Manual and Photos of the One II are here: https://www.manua.ls/klipsch/the-one-ii/manual

And, i've uploaded some photos of the internals of the speaker here: https://imgur.com/a/OLyGkrW
