I have a JL audio 12 inch W3 V3 subwoofer. I had it installed in my old car for about six months and it worked great. I wrecked my car and took my whole system out and my sub had been sitting in my bedroom protected from all the elements and everything for a little over a year. I just went to install it into my new car with the same amplifier and everything and it does not work. even when I do a polarity test I get nothing. I even hooked my power probe up to it ground to ground positive the positive and sent power and nothing happened no pop or anything like it should. is there anyway I can fix this? JL audio is being very complicated with return. I got the subwoofer from my father who runs a customization shop and they were authorized JL audio dealers but I did not purchase it through them with a receipt and everything and JL audio wants the receipt and all that stuff for repair. I went out and bought a cheap hundred dollar subwoofer from Walmart so I would have a little boom boom for now but I would really like to have my nice expenses back without having to pay $500 for another halfway decent speaker.
