Like Wade and Mark, my dad is no longer with us. I think that’s something you kinda never stop grieving, you just think about it less on a day-to-day basis as more time passes. Holidays and birthdays usually highlight the fact that dad isn’t there anymore, but Father’s Day can be especially hard.
What do you do on Father’s Day when your dad is dead and you aren’t a father yourself? I always want to celebrate my friends that are dads, but it feels kinda weird (and according to Distractible canon, it’s weird to celebrate non-related mothers on Mother’s Day so I assume the same logic follows here lol).
Does anyone have any advice for the folks that are feeling the grief and loss a little harder right now?
(Also, happy Father’s Day, Bob! You’re doing great!)
