The whole structure has become, for a lack of a better word, competitive in my opinion. It's WAY too focused on points rather than just bringing interesting topics to the table and having conversations.
This shift has led to way more aggressive infighting bits.
I'm, of course, in no way telling the trio how to run their podcast. However, as someone who has recently caught up with the podcast from the beginning and has started their second re-listening from the early episodes, I feel like the points should just become arbitrary again and not the focus.
For example drawing from early episodes, Wade had the whole "oh take away my points" bit, which was still a similar bit related to the slight competitiveness on who would win the episode. But it was still funny and non-hostile since everyone knew that the points didn't really matter, so they were able to have fun with it.
As the gang themselves stated years ago on what they originally envisioned for the podcast, the overall conclusion was that deep down they just wanted to keep it broad and open because they wanted to hang out. We, the listeners/watchers, just enjoy hanging out with them and listening to the conversations.
As Mark so elegantly put it back then, "we're idiots, and we came up with a dumb podcast because we couldn't think of anything organized. The points system is just a loose, cobbled-together ruleset to add structure to something that could never actually work in the first place."
With the constitution, I feel like the conversations could possibly become way too restricted to "keep in line with the rules." And with Mark's new declaration that whining would now loose you points, it feels like this could easily be abused as the overall vibe becomes more competitive because of it, even if they are just bits and we know there's no actual bad blood between them.
So yeah, I feel like we should abolish the constitution and embrace the chaos that this podcast has been for years now (and what kind of made it stand out from others that are very pre-planned and organized).
Edit: Grammar
I feel like you are reading too much into it and so many of you are babies.
