This came from the latest episode (I quit part one).
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Mark‘s mom for her concern over her son? The fact that Mark‘s mom, despite knowing Buddhist tradition with regards to the passing of a family member and is aware that Mark is the oldest male figure of his siblings, she tells Mark that he is not going to stand vigil even though it is Buddhist tradition because Mark had been up for over 24 hours since learning of his grandmother’s passing.
I find that a little funny in the way that Mark described it with his mom being very forceful in the fact that she didn’t want Mark standing vigil, But also I find it very heartwarming that even though there is a religious duty in the regards of the passing of a family member in Buddhist tradition, Mark’s mom cares enough about Mark to make him go to bed.
Doesn’t mark have an older brother?
I’m new to mark and his community, is he not close to his brother? I would think mark would also buy his brother a ticket
