How many days visit negates the need for Extra Magic Hours?

Hello!
Looking to book a trip to DLP towards the end of this year. Obviously, it is significantly cheaper to stay off site around Val D'Europe, however you obviously lose perks particularly extra magic hours.
Does a 3 day stay mean that everything in the parks is achievable even without extra magic hours? Are there any other perks you get staying on site that I've not really considered?
