I haven’t had a job in months and desperately need one. Last Friday I applied for a dishwasher position at a retirement home for $10/hr (I put $12/hr as my desired pay) and they immediately texted me the next morning to set up an interview the following week. Honestly I’m just nervous about the interview as well as the job because of the stories I’ve read on here. The positives that I read about the job is that most of the dishes will be washed by a machine so I would just focus on loading, unloading, etc. and the shift is from Wednesday-Sunday 10:30am-6:30pm. If anyone else works as a dishwasher at a retirement home or non restaurant let me know how you like it.
