I was out on my run this afternoon listening to an episode of the Prancing Pony Podcast and I was thinking about pronunciations in Middle-earth. This got me wondering if Sir pTerry, who was a known fan of Tolkiens works, based the naming of the most famous member of the Beggars Guild on the Dark Lord in the LotR.
