Post Body

Heyo. I'm currently going through all the discworld books for the first time and have just got up to Jingo and have hit upon this little passage. It sounds quite insightful only I have no idea what it means. I get the gist from context clues but am wondering what the specific meaning of the exchange means.

Any thoughts? Its the bit where all the Ankh-Morporkian Klatchians are being deported back to Klatch.

Edit: Btw just to add I am aware that Carrot is taking an idiom literally as usual. My question hinges more on the "for you, maybe" bit.
