This is more of a 1x1x1 sort of thing, but there's no flair for that.
Hello. I've been needing to release some emotional distress lately, and I thought, what better way to do it than through the magic of roleplay? What would be a really cathartic release is to vent on some poor fictional character(s) through emotional torment. I'm fine playing either the victim or the perpetrator, but I'm imagining a heart-wrenching story.
Think the opposite of a happily-ever-after. Instead of a character starting from nothing and getting everything they dreamed of, this character starts with a decently happy life before everything goes wrong and they end up broken. What I'm fixated on is romantic tragedy, I guess (for lack of better phrasing). It's not unrequited love; it's more like they have a good love life with a partner. Because of their loving connection, it's even more heartbreaking when things go south. Some possibilities:
-Blind faith and god-like worship of a sadistic opportunist
-Build up of codependency and then betrayal
-Love triangle dynamic (being replaced by a mistress - who could also be domming the character)
-The character is the mistress but entering into a hierarchical arrangement where they're not treated very well
-Hinge-type relationship where the character watches the other two fall in love, suffering from neglect.
My husband is interested in either GMing or playing his own character, so we could really create a dynamic and interesting story. So, most of the ideas are based on love triangles or betrayals, etc. His possible character would be a Jekyll/Hyde type in which there's some external force causing him to be evil (like a medication that puts him into a demon version, resulting in memory loss the next day). Another idea is that he could be a GM who plays any/all male characters, whichever ones work in the RP. Anything is up for discussion if you're interested.
Looking for a long-term roleplay partner who's interested in building stories over time. I'm open to ideas on how to build this/make it work. I'm only interested in OCs since I can't get emotionally attached to fanfic. It'd be great if we could build our own friendship aside from the roleplaying. I can write more comfortably and openly when I know my writing partner on a personality level.
I usually write a few paragraphs for responses, and I'm good about writing at least once per day. If something comes up, I communicate beforehand regarding any delays. Send me a chat request or DM if interested. I look forward to hearing your ideas.
