Discord Mic audio non functioning?

When playing with friends my mic is not outputting sound to the discord voice channel. I've reset to default, checked driver updates in MSI Center, tried all different output/input options. MB is a MSI PRO B650M-A and i went and bought a cheap new headset to see if it was a mic issue but same issue with that one. Any tips or possible fixes if anyone has encountered this before?
