So I have a role in my server with 34k members under it (the role). We ping it weekly for updates. For the last 1 year or so, I have been getting complaints of the ping not actually pinging many of the members. It's not a small percentage either, and when another admin pinged the role when I was offline, I didn't get pinged. The channel lights up like a new message sent but with no red ping on it.
What I've tried:
- Recreating the role and assigning the role to all the members.
- Recreating our announcement channel.
I've confirmed from many members that it's not because of role pings being suppressed in settings. I've tried pinging the role myself as the owner and another admin has pinged it too but the ping only goes through for less than 50% of the members with the role. Honestly, I'm stumped and not sure what to do here.
