Can you silence pings when Muting a server?

When I temporarily mute a server (say, for 24 hours), it stops the white notch from appearing when new messages come in during that time. However, pings that are directly @ me or are replies to a message of mine still cause the little red "number" notification to appear.

Is there a way to adjust server mutes so that when I temporarily mute a server for a time period, it ALSO mutes direct pings from adding the little number notification icon? (Without me having to manually turn back on some setting every time the temporary mute ends.)
