I'm pretty sure there's better coverage of it than I can provide but basically there was a period before Chris melted down for good in which he actually sold handmade copies of his medallion and various people bought it.
Today they're all insane, broke, drug addicted, in legal trouble or otherwise rather unfortunately affected.
Just punch Chris Chan Medallion Curse. It's a whole thing.
