A Hot Take on Nikko's Temper Tantrum
Post Flair (click to view more posts with a particular flair)
Post Body

Here is the Nikko temper tantrum we are all talking about.

The hot take: Nikko's behavior is both totally normal for pro sports and is only the beginning. Quit your bitching and get used to it.

In the recent years of disc golf, as competition has heated up, the players expressing anger is getting more and more common. This is why the James Conrad memes are funny--his reactions are muted compared to Eagle punching the ground (and breaking his hand), ripping his whale sac in half, Paul taco-ing a putter, Nikko yelling, or the incessant complaining of dozens of players. Being mad at the refs/rule calls is the natural next step. It's coming, so you better get used to it.

To be clear: I am not defending Nikko's time violation or the fact that he is an asshole. I'm not saying it's a good look. I'm pointing out that yall need to get used to watching assholes play disc golf.

Don't believe me? Watch literally any other televised sport. Here's the results of 30 seconds on YouTube:

Here's a compilation of MLB Managers throwing fits to the ref.

Here is a clip of a Manager throwing a base around.

Here's 10 minutes of a single Manager getting ejected.

Here's the Angels and Yankees in a huge brawl last month.

Here's a compilation of Lebron whining in the ref's face.
