How do you know when to stop play beginner in tournaments

Post Body
I've only played in 1, tied 5th in beginner, shot 1 over round 1 and even round 2. It's just a pop up for charity tournament sponsored by the local club (that I am not a memeber of) I play twice a week, still shoot anywhere from 7 down (pb) to 7 over. Should I stay in beginner? I was worried last year when my card newbies, but I ended up being kinda middle of the field. But I have improved a good amount since then.
