My first ace was a player B throw and it took a while to get my first "official" ace. I now have 9 official aces (one tournament) and I would guess I have unofficially aced 7 other holes.
I have met someone who will throw for hours on end to "ace" the hole. After hearing this person talk up their aces I felt yucky.
Also in consideration is short putter courses where you have 100' holes like The Flying Armadillo in TX and Chuck It in PEI. These are good ones to celebrate among your card, but maybe don't call home about it. It is tough to compare your ace collection to someone who plays putter courses most of the time.
