Are call outs protected under disability rights?

I have a history of an auto immune disease that has only been treatable with humira. I work in the service industry and unfortunately can’t afford to leave it right now. With my lowered immune system, I get sick easily and often. I do everything I can to prevent it but it still happens every few weeks and since I work with food I can’t really work while I’m sick.

I’ve been written up a couple times for “calling out too often” (even though I often can find someone to cover my shift). My workplace is aware of my lowered immune system and health issues, but I’m afraid I’m going to be fired for something I have no control over.
