Looking to start a non-partisan advocacy group so we can get recognition for Disabled Owned Business Opportunities - DOBE's (they even took our acronym - with DBE) since Americans with Disabilities have the highest unemployment among working age people and no business contracting preferences unlike ethnic minorities, vets, and women (though obviously there's some overlap).
I started a subreddit, have the domain and have to put up a website etc. I need some help. Inc'ing and the back office stuff I'm ok on. Going to 501(c)3 it. Haven't settled on the name yet
But anyway if anyone is interested or wants to help out, let me know. I really need your help.
Basically the platform is simple - work DOBE into the DBE, M/WBE stuff because disabled people are the most unemployed group in America and many non-disabled employers fail to hire disabled employees or understand their unique challenges.
What I need:
I'm terrible at marketing. Really, just abhorrent at it.
Anyone with legislative/politics experience would be helpful, too.
Design experience is helpful. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler.
