How to help fight injustice/protest/etc when disabled?

Good evening! I have multiple disabilities many of them are physical. I am also very focused on social activism and justice. I'm working my way through college so I can go to law school, but that doesn't feel like enough. I want to help protest, I want to be more involved in fighting for people's rights besides waiting 6 years to get the skills to do so legally. I mean actually protesting, not just walking down a decided path after getting a permit. My issue however is that if I am arrested my disabilities could become a weak point for cops to use against me and I would be in a lot of pain and my other medical needs could get to the point of needing surgery in extreme situations. The jail and prison system here in the states is pretty shit when it comes to disabled people, then because of another social class I am in that's not well liked by cops, I might even get extra targeted and possibly hurt more/deprived of meds and that would only amplify the other disabilities I have. I rely on meds and medical equipment to survive and function at any reasonable level. I hate using disability as an excuse, so how do I fight these things and keep myself within the balance my body needs?

TLDR: Disabilities make going to jail from protesting, even temporarily, painful and very difficult if not dangerous. How do I protest and help fight injustice without simply waiting for law school to end? Is this just a fact I need to accept and bite the bullet?

Thank you!
