So, for context, we have two ESA’s. One is mine (mental health) and the other is our 6 year olds (Special needs).
We found a place we can afford and really want it, but the community is trying to charge us a pet deposit and pet rent. Legally, we know this is a protected right under the FHA (Fair Housing Act) and that they can’t, but now that I have to argue the point with them, I worry that since I’ve thrown that at them that they’re going to deny us the place even though we’ve already put down our deposit…
