I lead a pretty normal life, relatively successful by socially accepted standards - an advanced degree, an exotic accent, a vanilla yet happy marriage, a job that's both intellectually stimulating and profitable, few but good friends I can rely on, a nice apartment in Manhattan, and an excellent bill of health, fitness included. What else could I ask for? Well ...

I crave two very specific things that, life being as it is, right here and right now, I simply can't get without looking outside my bubble:

The first is someone new, who is smart and silly at the same time, who can make me laugh over text with her witty banter throughout the day, and has the time and availability to do so, who doesn't mind my bad jokes never landing, whose background is foreign to me, someone I would be fascinated by, who I would enjoy getting to know everything about, as much as we would enjoy kissing each other in secret when we're together, hiding around the corner to make out as if we were in a romcom of questionable cinematographic quality. You get the picture.

The other is a sub. I cringe whenever I see/hear someone saying "I'm a Dom"... but that is something I used to enjoy being and exploring extensively not too long ago. I won't write here a list of kinks or things I'm "good" at in that realm, I see too many posts doing that, and if you're interested you can always ask. But I will say that the way I approach playing as a Dom is above all meticulous, carefully planning as many details as I can predict, and constantly building up complexity and adapting using what I learn from the other person's reactions to what I do to them. I see it as providing an experience and a safe place to feel vulnerable and at my mercy, as much as freely expressing my own innermost desires. I need someone who enjoys the psychological aspects of a D/s dynamic as much as, or more than, the physical and aesthetic ones. Power exchange and surrendering control over ropes and such.

I know this is a long shot, and my expectations are set accordingly. If there is a woman out there interested in one of the above, I will be ecstatic. If there is someone who can provide both of them, I will question the nature of reality itself.

That said, I do have a handful of requirements, purely so that we know we're not incompatible from the start: don't be a Trump supporter, be on the shorter/petite side and in decent shape, be willing to share pictures sooner rather than later, and tell me about your favorite thing to do in the city when you have free time on a weekday afternoon. That last one is just so I know you read all the way to the end.
