Hi -

I’ve just picked up my first erotic novel and I’m keen to message with someone who is into them.

I must say, I’m not enjoying it! But maybe I picked a bad one. It’s called “Enemies with Benefits” and it’s about a man and a woman who grew up hating each other and now work at the same company. Their attraction gets the best of them and they end up having sex.

The “spicy” scenes are quite spicy. I’d give it 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (at least as I understand the genre’s parlance).

My interest came from female colleagues who said smut was keeping the publishing industry afloat. I was astonished to find this book has 35,000 reviews on good reads and another I saw has 1.5 million!

So, two questions: 1. What book do you recommend? 2. Why do you enjoy the genre?
