You've been my daughters best friend since elementary school all the way until college. You've stayed with us for entire summers in the past. You're about as close as they come to being one of the family.

Lately you can't help but notice the way they've treated me. My wife? The sweetest woman in the world to every single person, except her husband. Today, my daughter finally struck a nerve. You drove two hours to stay over this week with her, and she said she would be coming home after a short work shift in the morning... Then ditched you to see her boyfriend, claiming "he had an emergency and she won't be back until late at night".
