I'd like to propose a scenario that we would roleplay with some D&D homebrew rules, so more like a GM4F. Also, only in chat, and hopefully right away. Here's the prompt:

Now that you are here, in the middle of it all, you realise how terribly underprepared you are. The forest, as magical and inviting it may seem, keeps going for not only as far as your legs can carry, but for days. Yet, you can only be four hours from the road the bus left you, maximum. Probably it is only two or maybe three hours away – if you hadn’t hurt your leg.

You have read the survival guide, you even have it with you in your backpack, and in hindsight you should not have stepped on that moss covered tree trunk. You leg went straight through the rotten trunk, and now your ankle feels sore. You can walk on it, no problem, but you have a discernible idea that if you’d hike back with it today, you would risk it getting really bad.

So you had set up your camp. This is, after all what you entered the trail to for, right? You didn’t get all the way to the hut you were planning to sleep tonight, but you managed to set up your tent. Just like you had practiced. A reason to feel proud, indeed. And to go out on the trail solo – yeah, bad-ass-bitch-move. But now, on all fours, blowing on the embers to get the fire going with damp wood you had gathered you didn’t feel much of a bad ass. Without fire it would be a cold night.

Just hours ago you had felt great in your brand new get-up. Looking like a pro, although you weren’t quite sure what a professional would mean in terms of camping. But you had saved money to take this trip. Finland and its wild nature. The cleanest air in the world, the berries and mushrooms waiting to be picked. You had heard that bears would give you no trouble, most likely, and that the trail you had chosen was great for a beginner like you. Maybe, and just maybe, you might have taken a wrong turn some hours ago, and the trail had gotten more difficult at some point, but you had made good progress. Up until your foot went through the rotten trunk. But you weren’t scared or anything… right? Right??
