You've been my daughters best friend since elementary school all the way up until college. You've even stayed with us for entire summers in the past. You're about as close as they come to being one of the family.

Lately you can't help but notice the way they've treated me. My wife? The sweetest woman in the world to every single person, except her husband. It's like she saves up all her bitterness and unleashes it on me like I'm a punching bag. Picking fights for no reason as soon as I get home from a hard days work. But she is not shy about spending my money on her luxurious life style, and never once has she ever thanked me. And my daughter? She just acts like a spoiled brat and gives me attitude.

You can't help it, seeing it constantly just bothers you so much, it isn't fair! You weren't lucky enough to have a father who was present, hard working, and took care of his family. It's all you've ever wanted, and it's what my daughter and my wife has, and they don't appreciate it! I've always worked so hard to provide for them, I put up with their shit, I don't let it faze me and stay strong and do my job. Even when they don't deserve it. But you vowed to never act on those feelings. I'm your best friends dad, you couldn't betray her like that.

Today, my daughter finally struck a nerve. You stayed overnight to spend time with her, and she said she would be coming home after a short work shift in the morning... Then she ditched you to see her boyfriend, claiming he had an emergency and she won't be back until late at night.

You know my wife is gone until evening, and my daughter is apparently gone until even later. Only you and me at the house. Fuck it, you say. You decide to make a move. Maybe it's out of revenge? Or maybe you've been hoping for a way to justify it?
