As an aromantic sexual (“aroace”), I do have a physical need for sexual release but don’t desire sex or intimacy with others. My main sexual outlets have always been masturbating to clean or minimally provocative pics, or mild sexting (discussing appearance, physical features, or masturbation). The less sexual, the better. One especially nice thing about this is the lack of intensity creates a gradual build-up and the release can be very rewarding.
