That means you probably live somewhat close to me and I’m hoping to meet someone local. If distance is the first piece of the puzzle, I think compatibility is the second. Do we get along and are looking for the same thing? This is where it gets a bit tricky because I’m not 100% sure what I’m looking for because it’s hard to describe. Sometimes I think I’m chasing a feeling, a spark, a connection, a physical attraction, an emotional attraction…it is admittedly a lot but I don’t expect it all in one person, I’d be happy to find just one or two things and have whatever kind of relationship we’re both comfortable with. I have a long term partner and we both believe that one person can’t (and shouldn’t) meet every need so we believe it’s OK if there are other people in our lives that provide pieces that are missing. It’s always been emotional/non-physical needs that we’d go to others for but recently we’ve talked about meeting physical/sexual needs outside the relationship too.
