It might be for a ball, a wedding, a Christmas or New Year's party - everyone has outfits that belong in that 'special' category. Something a little more exciting, more daring, more glamorous than usual. It was deliberately picked to highlight your best features and make you feel bold and confident in yourself.
Putting on this outfit is a ritual in itself - a long bath/shower beforehand, getting your hair and makeup done, maybe there's an exotic/complicated bra that you need a bit of a reminder to use again. But it's always worth the effort and even if you're a bit nervous or self conscious at wearing something so different from normal, you (mainly) enjoy the attention it brings, maybe everyone thinks 'she scrubs up well'..!
