Hallo friends! Doesn't seem to be much buzz in the Copenhagen corner of reddit, but hopefully one of you lurkers is just adventurous (or bored) enough to keep reading...
There's something special about meeting someone while one of you is traveling. Without the question/implications of a long term relationship hanging over our heads, we can skip a bunch of the song-and-dance that first dates usually have. We can be honest, vulnerable, and carefree in a way that's only afforded by knowing that our shared world will only last a moment. It might sound like I'm glorifying a one-night stand, but I'm equally happy with a physically platonic evening, so long as it's intellectually intimate. I'd love to hear what it's like living in Denmark (are you really the happiest country in the world?), and maybe understand what exactly "hygge" means...
A bit about me: I'm a 31 y/o American professional living in London. I'll skip the physical description in favor of a picture (not shown: world-class dimple and eye lashes that you might think are fake). Of course, none of this really tells you whether I'd be a good date. And it might be impossible to convince you of that in a reddit post anyways 😅 My friends would probably describe me as outgoing, optimistic, and curious (all of those to a fault at times). Unfortunately, they'd probably also describe as "always 5 minutes lates."
I'll be staying in Copenhagen May 21-24. I'd be grateful for any recommendations for things to see or places to try. But my general philosophy is that you can only experience a new place by meeting people who live there, and seeing it through their eyes.
