To the seaside town of Santa Monica nigh?
We seek but a brief respite from this mortal coil,
To bask in the sun, to drink and to roil,
In the joys of the seaside life,

So, sweet maiden, wilt thou join us on this journey,
To Santa Monica, where the sands are gold and the skies are ferny?
