I recently played Vampire the masquerade:Bloodlines for the first time and that sent me down a rabbit hole of media. I’ve started to listen to podcasts of different campaigns, the works if darkness choose your own adventure games, and some of the comics the series have spawned. I bring this all up because I think it would be fun to rp in this setting.
I’d be more than happy to worldbuild and discuss our characters too. We can follow as many or little of the rules we want. I’d like to capture the essence of danger, excitement, betrayal, and intrigue all while keeping things safe and enjoyable for both parties. Due to the nature of the source material things do have the potential to become dark, it’s not an aspect I intend to delve too deeply into.
I do have an idea for a prompt, but I’m more than open to changing and/or altering it. We’d pair of Caitiff (vampires without clans, adrift and alone) struggle throughout their nights fighting to survive and maybe even power. Being clanless means there’s virtually no opportunity to move up in the world, but that won’t stop these enterprising kindred.
Low class kindred, in an overlooked city, with dreams… Those dreams could be anything and everything. Are they looking to burn the ivory tower and give in to anarchy. Maybe they’d like to become the rare or maybe even the first caitiff’ to high ranking positions in the court. What if they say fuck it and open the door for the Sabbat to destroy anything in their path.
How would our kindred go about bringing this change? Fucking, Fighting, and… Politicking. So much for alliteration. Anyway, I’d like to focus more on the political and sexual aspects, but use the occasional fight to mix things up.
So, let’s see where the night takes us.
